MAJOR Projects

The P&C is currently active on the following major Capital and Operational projects.

1. Amphitheatre

Project Stage:

Project progress bar showing step 1 (School Requirements) of 5

We need to spend $80,000 to fix our beloved school amphitheatre. The area must be made safe so it can be used as a classroom and performance space for all to enjoy. The enhancements will modernise the structure whilst complementing the surroundings.

This will provide our students with a flexible outdoor learning environment, usable throughout the entire school year.

Thank you for your donation.

2. Bush Tucker & Yarning Circle

Project Stage:

Project progress bar showing step 3 (Fundraising) of 5

To complement the school curriculum and celebrate Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander culture, our final project sees the implementation of a $25,000 Bush Tucker Garden and Yarning Circle.

This will promote hands on collaborative learning, and the importance of sharing stories; all whilst providing our students with an appreciation of indigenous culture.

Thank you for your donation.

Key to stages

  • School Requirements - The Executive Committee work collaboratively with the Principal to identify projects on which the school seeks the financial support of the P&C. These shortlisted projects are taken to the Membership for consideration and consultation.

  • Project Viability - The Executive Committee undertakes due diligence, performs cost-benefit analysis, obtains information from all relevant stakeholders, as well as seeking feedback from the Membership on the projects presented (and alternatives). The Membership ultimately determines which projects will receive support in any given year.

  • Fundraising - Targets are set and a project-specific campaign is devised to source funding via various channels including school families, local businesses, grants, and the wider community for the P&C’s component of the project budget. The Membership and the wider school community are continuously kept up to date on the progress of fundraising for major projects.

  • Procurement & Project Delivery - A project steering committee may be established. The Executive Committee will support DET procurement policies by dispersing funds in accordance with the project plan and monitoring project delivery (consisting of progress management, recording progress, and financial governance over release and use of P&C funds), communicating project status to the Membership and the wider community, ensuring the project remains aligned with the original goals and requirements, and communicating any variances to scope.

  • Celebration - Deliver an opening ceremony and/or event appropriate for the project type to specifically include and recognise the families, community, local businesses, and grant sources that contributed to the project outcome.
