Mothers Day & Fathers Day

The Mother’s Day Father’s Day Gift Group [MDFDGG] runs a Mother’s Day Stall in May and a Father’s Day Stall in September. We aim to provide an opportunity for the children to have a safe shopping experience where they can select, and have beautifully wrapped, a special gift for their parent. These events have become a well-loved tradition for students and caregivers alike. Any profit raised goes directly to the P&C.

The stalls are held in the week leading up to Mother’s Day and Father's Day. We set up in the school hall the evening prior to the event. Over the course of the following school day, all students have an opportunity to visit the stall to purchase their gifts, which our volunteers then gift wrap for the students to take home. We work closely with the school to ensure the stalls are as inclusive as possible.

In the lead up to Mother's Day and Father's Day, the MDFDGG meet weekly. Usually, our meetings are held from 9am on Thursday mornings, dependent on volunteer availability, in the school hall kitchen, and refreshments are provided. Attendance via Zoom is also welcome. We don’t meet in Term 4 and we take a break in June/July. Younger children are welcome to come along to the meetings too.

We are a flexible, friendly group and we would love to have more volunteers join us, whether it be on the committee, helping with the stalls or assisting in some other way.
